Spring Time with Banana Republic

untitled-29

As my Spring love affair continues on, I’m sharing another look in collaboration with Banana Republic! I love that statement neck scarves are stepping into the lime light. If you’re an OG MELSANV reader you may remember this neck scarf from this post or even this one. It’s definitely an oldie/goodie situation. And when I found that it needed a little contrast I paired it with this ruffled pullover sweater which basically tells you everything you need to know about me in one article of clothing. The ruffles! The knit! The cropped waistline! Everything about this piece screams me and it’s one of those items you have in your closet for years thinking you’ll never wear it and BAM it ends up surprising you every time you pair it with something!

I was a little hesitate on these cropped wide legged pants because I am the tallest petite person I know but I paired them with bright strappy sandals JUST so you know my legs do exist somewhere under there. We skipped our usual trek to the city and decided to shoot this look in the East Bay. I’m often surprised that you can find little pocket locations that look like they’re completely out of this country. I really digging how the bright whites make this multi-colored outfit stand out SO much. And allow me to digress a little further, if there’s an off chance we happen to bring back the cool-kid, multi-colored polo, preppy trend I wouldn’t be mad at it. I find that the 90’s are having their moment of resurrection and it’s just natural we go back to popping our collars and wearing hoop earrings (kidding, guys). Did you find any pieces from the Banana Republic Spring line that had you excited? Let me know in the comments section below!
